Salam Aidilfitri

Alhamdulillah, after a month of fasting,Syawal comes as Allah promises.

1^st Syawal was of course the most delighted moment for everyone. Reasons to be happy are various. For instance, one is in joy because he/ she has passed the challenge of fasting for 29 days and another reason would probably because the person has gained or achieved the goal which he/she has set at the beginning of Ramadhan. Whatever the reasons may be, it is foremost to remember that the upmost reason to fast is for Allah. Fasting is a sign of worshipping the Almighty that is it one of the pillars of Islam.

Alhamdulillah. Such beautiful word to describe the blessings that we received every seconds and minutes.

Dear Allah, accept our deeds.

Rabbana taqabbal minna solatana wa siyamana wa qiyamana wa takhassyu’ana wa tadharru’ana wa ta’abbudana wa tammim taqsirana ya Allah, ya Allah, ya Allah.

Salam and Hi This would be my first entry for 2012. Alhamdulillah, manage to find a topic which intrigue me to write a post :P When Islam was revealed to the Prophet pbuh, many rejected the message brought by him. Islam came as a religion which guides everyone in all aspects of life, from worshiping God to the ways we sleep (the adab of sleeping). What makes it more interesting is that it teaches us about the relationship between men and women too. In Islam, there are boundaries between the men and women and as to set the line, the relationship falls into two categories which are: 1. Mahrams 2. Report: La Taghdab

Salam and Hi... After two weeks of writing Challenge 1- La Taghdab, here I am to report my progress. Honestly, I am not a person who can stand everything well. For instance: 1. I really can't stand the car which is too slow on highway 2. I can't stand waiting in lines when buying food (hehe) 3. I can't stand not having what I wanted (this is very critical!). All these while my parents have provided me with E.V.E.R.Y. T. H. I. N. G, now that I'm working, they're teaching me a lesson to use money wisely and "you cannot have everything you wish for". but I WANT! =( In other words, there are just too many things that irritates me. My name is Maryam...A'dilla

When I was in primary schools, back in the year 1993 to 1998, many of the friends used to tease my name. Rather than Maryam, they would call me MERIAM (which means cannonball in Bahasa Melayu). I was of course hurt by it. Not that I was fat like a cannonball or fiery, they just love to tease. Well, kids. But anyhow my ears were just too thick to listen to the calls that the annoyance faded with time. Once, I used to ask my parents, “Why did you guys named me Maryam?” and their reasons were very simple, “because your midwife was called Miriam”...”and Maryam is a name that is mentioned in the Quran”. How beautiful. I was named after the name stated in the Quran and also to reminisce the day I was borned, they named me after my midwife (perhaps they were over joyed to have a baby girl in the family).
