Law Kana Baynana

Law Kana Baynana I believe Law Kana Baynana is hit programme this Ramadhan in Malaysia. TV Al-Hijrah is playing it at...hmm, sorry I don’t get the time, since everytime I turned the TV,there it was –Law Kana Baynana. To me it’s a success to the producer that he managed to produce such programme in this “millennium” time. Everyone is so engrossed about the so-called civilized world when they are actually leaving behind and moving away from the important and essentials in life. For instance, if there’s a piece of rubbish right in front of you...would you pick it up? After watching the show you might say “yes, I would” BUT BEFORE watching it, I doubt. The answer would probably be 50-50. If one is born and trained by his/her mother to pick even the smallest rubbish that he/she sees, the possibility to pick the litter is very high. BUT if he/she is not trained, the person would see picking up litter as “hey, that’s not my job!” - a heart full of pride that to bend, lower the body to p

The Farewell of Ramadhan

Woke up this morning with sadness surrounding my heart. “Ya Allah...kita ada beberapa hari je lagi sebelum Syawal datang” (Dear Allah, we only have few more days before the coming of Syawal.) What should I do? What should we do? Thinking about the situation again, I was questioning myself of the right ways to react in saying my goodbyes to Ramadhan, while welcoming Syawal. Ramadhan the month of barakah will certaintly be missed, HOWEVER Syawal should NOT be welcomed with despair. Both of the months are nikmah from Allah. There should be a balance on ways to say our goodbyes as well as celebrating the new month- Syawal. The question is : How am I supposed to respond to this situation? Should I be happy about it? Or should I be sad? Ramadhan is leaving. Syawal is approaching. ...... Alhamdulillah. Managed to perform the Subuh prayer together with the jamaah of TUI at the surau. Then we had our weekly Kuliah Subuh by a well known Ustaz in town. One of the issues rai

Another Blog

=) I've always wanted another blog (tapi yang ada pun tak maintain.huhu). Now that I'm involve with the new curriculum, I see blog as an effective way to share purposeful and useful information with others out there, especially with my fellow colleagues. There are just many things that we can share among the teachers actually, because teaching needs creativity and new ideas so that children in the classroom won't get bored....and so that we won't be categorized as a "cikgu yang membosankan". hehe. Hope this new blog will somehow help the teaching community (teachers) =) I'll start of with KSSR 2011 and credits to my Gorgeous Friends, who are also teachers, who are willing to share their materials with me. and I welcome others too. :: Teaching is Twice Learning ::

Ramadhan Kareem

On the 5th day Ramadhan I was still asking myself "what does fasting really means to me..." Is fasting just to "seal" everything up and be sympathy towards others in need or... to discipline myself? but..hmm..discipline oneself can be done in many other ways. Allah can't be cruel, not to let us eat during day time JUST to discipline ourselves. Allah is Ar-Rahman (Maha Pengasih). What is fasting? Why do I have to fast??? ... Thinking about this, it reminds me that I used to ask myself, during the umrah, about Sa'ie. "Why do I have to perform Sa'ie?? Well, its just walking/ little run from Safa to Marwah. Why?? Why do I have to do this???" As a person who appreciates time, I believe that every single second is precious. There are just so many good things to do in every single minute. But, having to perform Sa'ie takes more than 30 minutes, everyone who performs it has to walk back and forth from Safa to Marwah, 7 times. If pe
