Convocation

grins and smile

Alhamdulillah, I’ve received my scroll last two weeks. It was a day full of excitement and of course, joy . I had the opportunity to meet figuratively all, literarily talk and exchange stories with most of them. Only then have I realized that my friends have always filled my heart, that meeting them was, is and will be an opportunity that I can never miss!

It was a great honour to know that Apath, one of my friends from our batch was given the chance to deliver the valedictory speech. She was..great on stage..just like she is. Full of energy, emotions and astonishing. Her speech touched hearts of many in the hall. I cried, few of my close friends cried and people in the hall cried, they had to secretly wipe their tears (aha! I saw you on the screen!).

Now, Alhamdulillah, after so much uninformed problems, most of us are posted to states which we applied. However, to those who did not, don’t feel down. There’s always a blessing in disguise. Syukur, syukur, syukur. Remember ,though it may seem like the people are arranging the postings and all, yet again everything happens in accordance with Allah’s will.

I will surely miss all of you.

Your crazy antics can never be replaced by anyone, very sure about this.

Keep in touch girls! And..

“Let’s be the best, always the best!” (Dr.ISA)

Mahrams

Salam and Hi This would be my first entry for 2012. Alhamdulillah, manage to find a topic which intrigue me to write a post :P When Islam was revealed to the Prophet pbuh, many rejected the message brought by him. Islam came as a religion which guides everyone in all aspects of life, from worshiping God to the ways we sleep (the adab of sleeping). What makes it more interesting is that it teaches us about the relationship between men and women too. In Islam, there are boundaries between the men and women and as to set the line, the relationship falls into two categories which are: 1. Mahrams 2. Ghayr Mahrams There are various books and sites that could help us to understand further on this topic but here is a link that, InshaAllah, could enlighten us too.   CLICK HERE Other than that, below is a diagram in Malay language which is very helpful in making us to understand the relationship between men and women. Report: La Taghdab

Salam and Hi... After two weeks of writing Challenge 1- La Taghdab, here I am to report my progress. Honestly, I am not a person who can stand everything well. For instance: 1. I really can't stand the car which is too slow on highway 2. I can't stand waiting in lines when buying food (hehe) 3. I can't stand not having what I wanted (this is very critical!). All these while my parents have provided me with E.V.E.R.Y. T. H. I. N. G, now that I'm working, they're teaching me a lesson to use money wisely and "you cannot have everything you wish for". but I WANT! =( In other words, there are just too many things that irritates me. And I need to calm myself and think rationally before anything bad happens. Although many of my colleagues told me that I look really calm and patient dealing with 2P (the most naughtiest class in Year 2). Well, after two weeks.. I think there were only 2 events that made me flared up. 1. When 2P were out of control..they're a...

My name is Maryam...A'dilla

When I was in primary schools, back in the year 1993 to 1998, many of the friends used to tease my name. Rather than Maryam, they would call me MERIAM (which means cannonball in Bahasa Melayu). I was of course hurt by it. Not that I was fat like a cannonball or fiery, they just love to tease. Well, kids. But anyhow my ears were just too thick to listen to the calls that the annoyance faded with time. Once, I used to ask my parents, “Why did you guys named me Maryam?” and their reasons were very simple, “because your midwife was called Miriam”...”and Maryam is a name that is mentioned in the Quran”. How beautiful. I was named after the name stated in the Quran and also to reminisce the day I was borned, they named me after my midwife (perhaps they were over joyed to have a baby girl in the family). Alhamdulillah, I have a great name. Maryam is the name of the Prophet Isa’s mother. She was chosen by Allah to carry Isa in her womb without a husband or even getting married. This is an...
