The Choral Speakers

Assalamualaikum

Finally the school holiday is here! hehe. I was really looking for it since started working. School break means time with the family, family and friends gathering which is a must to keep up with each other and also a time to get myself re-organize (physically, mentally and spiritually).

The last day of school was such a drama (there were episodes actually). My school was so busy with Hari Anugerah Cemerlang and of course the TEACHERS had to prepare the pupils weeks before the day for performances. Mine was English Choral Speaking.

It was my first time to train the pupils but Alhamdulillah, things turned up really well. I am so proud of my little 'big mouths' (now you know why they're in the Choral speaking team, don't you?) Impressive enough that they manage to work together and find a communal agreement to present their story without any quarreling.

The problems that I faced while training them were:

1. Pronunciation- some had difficulties to read and pronounce the words.

2. Intonation- they are so used to reading a text book in the class; u know the monotonous "da..da..da.." where after two minutes hearing it you feel like sleeping, so they read the text that way. Alhamdulillah after few days of training, they read with better intonations and I did not fall asleep while training them =).

3. Team work- children are so eager to be a leader and show their talents. So, those who are aggressive would course like to be the dominator and want others to be the followers. As the teacher, the one who controls the children, I had to play few of my "magic tricks" to calm them down and "put a spell" so they can discuss humanly.

F.Y.I: Most of my pupils come from a low SES family, so please understand their attitudes and behaviours.

After two weeks of training, Alhamdulillah. They look clean and cute and performed on the stage confidently.

Good job little ones!

Mahrams

Salam and Hi This would be my first entry for 2012. Alhamdulillah, manage to find a topic which intrigue me to write a post :P When Islam was revealed to the Prophet pbuh, many rejected the message brought by him. Islam came as a religion which guides everyone in all aspects of life, from worshiping God to the ways we sleep (the adab of sleeping). What makes it more interesting is that it teaches us about the relationship between men and women too. In Islam, there are boundaries between the men and women and as to set the line, the relationship falls into two categories which are: 1. Mahrams 2. Ghayr Mahrams There are various books and sites that could help us to understand further on this topic but here is a link that, InshaAllah, could enlighten us too.   CLICK HERE Other than that, below is a diagram in Malay language which is very helpful in making us to understand the relationship between men and women. Bila nak kawen?

"Bila nak kawen?" "Bila nak kenduri?" These are the regular questions for me lately. ------------ The above 3 lines were written back in Sept 2015. How time flies. Its May 2018. Single. The questions remain the same. However, through out time people have learnt that jodoh, ajal-maut and rezeki are secrets that only Allah knows. Pray. Pray harder. Note: Back tapping my keyboard. Hello world!

5 Pesanan Syeikh Ahmad Yassin

Subhanallah No words can describe my guilt for the brothers and sisters in Palestine. Here I am, on my bed with my laptop, have just finished watching two movies while at the part of the world Muslims are tortured and slaved and killed. Reading words of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin made me to update my blog tonight. For the love of brothers and sisters in Islam, I'm spreading the messages of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin: Click here (izinkan share mdthamim) All the words are words of Muhammad. Dear Allah, make me near to you as you are always near to me. Forgive us for all our wrong doings. Guide us, guide us, guide us in becoming true Muslims.
